President-elect Trump’s nominee for U.S. Secretary of Labor, Rep. Lori Chavez-DeRemer, has shown that she understands the importance of labor union membership and the right to collectively bargain by co-sponsoring the Protecting the Right to Organize Act (PRO) and the Public Service Freedom to Negotiate Act. This sets her apart from Trump’s other nominees and his close advisor Elon Musk.
